Economia is the largest publisher of economic and B2B periodicals in the Czech Republic, operating also in Slovakia through its subsidiary company Ecopress. Economia was established in 1990 and between 1994 and August 2008 its majority shareholder was Verlagsgruppe Handelsblatt. Currently the majority share is owned by Repekt Media whose sole stockholder is investor Zdenek Bakala.
