Prague (April 2, 2012) – Economia has a new Head of Sales Milan Kovanda. He will be responsible primarily for subscription sales of print as well as digital products, management of sales alliances and search for new opportunities.
Milan Kovanda (39) has over fifteen years of work experience in media, sales and marketing. He started his work career as an editor of the daily Bohemia and the weekly Žurnál. From 1999 to 2009 he held various positions at Mafra, where he also led the advertising team. In 2010 he was sales and marketing director for CR regions in PPF Media with responsibility for the project Naše adresa. Prior to joining Economia Mr. Kovanda worked as sales and marketing director at CES (Central European Services).
The new Head of Sales Milan Kovanda said: “Ekonom is ahead of its competitors and increases its lead. Respekt grew by excellent 23% last year. Hospodářské noviny was just below 200 thousand readers in the second half of 2011. These are results that commit. But I am convinced that with the team whose professional core has on a long-term basis shown its competence and with new reinforcements that we, I believe, will bring, we can maintain the trend. I see great potential in the development of electronic media activities, too. And exactly such challenges I'm looking forward to.”
